Lean Manufacturing Workshop

The Lean Manufacturing workshop will turn your staff into lean thinkers by learning 5 lean principles. It will teach them how to identify value, develop a value stream, determine the product's flow, create a pull system of production and aim toward perfection in quality and process. The principles of 5S's, manufacturing cell design, JIT, heijunka box, Kaizen events and Kanban systems are discussed for consideration in the future application. This is followed by an on-site review of the identified product(s), manufacturing cell(s) or sub-assembly where a current Value Stream Map (VSM) is developed. The merits of the lean manufacturing metrics learned are reviewed for inclusion in the future VSM. A future VSM is developed, project management principles are reviewed and Kaizen events are planned.
When approaching this as a group presentation or seminar, the minimum time required to cover these topics with a very simple demonstration of the 2 Value Stream Maps is two (2) days. The length of an in-house workshop is determined by the complexity of the product(s), manufacturing cell(s) or sub-assembly that is identified for review. For this reason, you will need to contact me for a quote for your workshop.
